East Road has had a little upgrade recently. An additional siding has been added along the back wall. This runs from a left hand point fitted just after the bridge with the siding running to a stop, just before the signal and signal box.

This will allow for a couple of loco’s to be stabled up or for engineers stock to be stored when not in use. It just adds for more capacity and playability on the layout for both at home and at exhibitions.

Having successfully completed this upgrade, there is no need for an extension to the main the scene. The new siding has added more depth to the layout with the sense of more railway when looking onto the layout.
