East Road had another successful trip north of the border, this time for the Falkirk Model Rialway Show over the weekend of November 15/16. The layout was ehibited in the main hall of the event and was very well received. Thanks to Ronnie Hamilton, Matt Collins and Graeme Moyes for their invaluable help over the weekend and thank you to the Falkirk team for inviting me to their excellent show.

The new banner looked the part showcasing East Road on the entrance to the hall alongside the SDEG advertisement pullup for their excellent Scotland’s Diesel Fleet in Detail range of books.

Here are a few photo’s I managed to take during the event of some the fleet and some visting loco’s which are 2 x Class 20’s and a Class 46, courtesy of Graeme Moyes.

East Road has now been exhibited five times since the layout build was completed in August of 2024. It has also featured in the Hornby magazine, all of which is impressive and something I am very proud of but never envisaged when i started this journey!

East Road will sign off 2025 with another show invite. This time to the Gauge O Guild Show in Wigan on the 6th December.
