East Road is undergoing improvements to enable more playability and that everything on the layout serves a purpose.

First up, we have a new addition, in the form of a stop board with a telephone instruction. This is to ensure all locomotives that enter the depot, stop and observe the instruction before entering the depot.

Secondly, a Shunters Mess Cabin has been added to the layout. This cabin is a kit from Northumbrian Painting Services. Slighty modified so it will fit in the designated location. It has also been painted rail blue (just a bit of fun) by the depot staff.

Additionally, drainpipes and a guard rail have been fitted to finish of the scene, with a couple of shunter figures to follow
