Since the layout build was completed in July 2024, East Road has successfully completed six exhibitions. This is something I am proud of and something I never envisaged in the slightest. It is very humbling to recieve the positive comments and appreciation of my modelling with East Road. It certainly does make it all worthwhile. It is also humbling to know that East Road has been an inspiration to other like minded railway modellers.

Also in this time…

• The East Road Facebook group is fast approaching 850 members, again something I never envisaged.
• East Road has featured in the October 2025 edition of Hornby Magazine, another proud moment.

With all of this in mind, I would like to thank everyone who has took the time to follow the progress to date via Facebook and for taking the time to stop by for a chat at exhibitions.

Thank you to everyone who has helped me at shows with the setting up, setting down and operating. Lots of names to mention, but they know who they are.

To all of my SDEG colleagues, thank you for your continued support and inspiration and especially for embracing East Road.

Finally, to all exhibition managers, thank you for inviting East Road to your shows and giving me the opportunity to showcase the layout for real.
